Deah Mamplam Cave

A short walk to a jungle cave, near the west coast of Aceh.

Tsunami-affected west coast of Aceh

The walks starts on the eastern edge of Deah Mamplam village, a post-tsunami rehousing site 30 minutes from Banda Aceh along the Meulaboh road.

Jungle track

After entering the jungle there are some short scrambles, be careful of the rotting wood.

The cave is reached after about 40 minutes.
