Jantho Waterfall

Day trek out of Banda Aceh

Max elevation: 506m

A waterfall in the rainforest, on the east flank of Batee Meucica volcano.

Batee Meucica foothills

This trek starts 3km west of Jantho, past the last housing resettlement site

Seulawah view

There is 3km easy trekking through open countryside (with views back to Seulawah Agam volcano)
before the forest is entered.

White-water trekking

Once in the forest the trail becomes very slippery (especially after the frequent rains)
and the are several tricky river crossings. Don't expect to keep your feet dry!
