Green Beach

A pleasant jungle walk to an isolated beach near Banda Aceh

The trek starts just north of Joel's restaurant in Lampu'uk, Aceh Besar, 12km west of Banda Aceh


Rural road

Turn left just after a small bridge and climb up the path between the two larger hills, passing below a small rock face.

In the forest

Cross over a derelict bridge next to a small shelter. After 500m turn left again, and climb up to a saddle, the highest point on the route.

The path then drops steeply, and then follows a (normally dry) riverbed out to the beach.

Most likely you will have the beach to yourself....
